Adv. Tefo Tlale
Tefo Tlale is a lawyer with special interest in botho/ubuntu jurisprudence, human rights, restorative justice and equality. He is a proponent of African Renaissance in law. He has acquired vast and diverse legal experience over the past 8 years.
He began his legal career as a Candidate Attorney at Bowman Gilfillan attorneys, after which he served as Legal Officer and Acting Senior Legal Officer for the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC). Thereafter commencing his practice as an Advocate of the High Court. He has experience in matters involving children's rights, refugee and immigration laws, municipal laws, constitutional and administrative law, labour law and civil and commercial litigation. He has appeared in various courts across South Africa including the Constitutional Court.
Tefo's experience also includes lecturing undergraduates and advocacy work with various law clinics such as the Sex Workers Clinic, Housing Clinic and Wits Law Clinic.
